When my pool is in a state of active winterizing, should I switch off my salt chlorinator ?
It is not recommended to operate the salt chlorinator in water that is too cold (below 15°C).
When the temperature decreases, development of algae and micro-organisms slows down: consequently, occasional chlorine dosing is sufficient during winterizing.
